Zouhair El Kaissi

Mr Zouhair El Kaissi is Deputy General Manager of BANK OF AFRICA – BMCE Group and Head of Group Finance and Equity Investments. He has been responsible since 2010 for overseeing the Group's strategic and financial planning, Assets Liabilities Management, management control, tax matters, financial consolidation under IFRS, and equity participations. He supervises the Group's financial communication with stakeholders including the Board of Directors, institutional investors, and credit rating agencies.

He is a member of the Group's Executive Management Committee, the Group Risk Committee, and the Group Audit and Internal Control Committee. He also serves on the boards of several BANK OF AFRICA subsidiaries in Morocco and internationally.

As part of his responsibilities, he participated in 2010 to the launch and steering of the "Agility" transformation programme, aimed at modernising and simplifying the Group's operational model, with a strong focus on organisational performance and human capital.

He previously was appointed General Director of BMCE Capital Gestion Privée at its inception in 2006, the private asset management arm of BMCE Group. Earlier in his career, he was Director of Asset Management at BMCE Capital Gestion, where he was awarded Best Fixed Income Manager in 2002 in the market place, and contributed to several innovative pension and retirement savings projects in Morocco and West Africa. He began his career in investment banking at Société Générale and in financial reporting at Casablanca Finance Group.

He is a graduate of AUDENCIA Business School in France after completing two years of preparatory courses to the competitive examination for entrance to French Graduate Schools of Business in Paris. He has completed executive programmes in Strategy and Corporate Finance at Euromoney London and at HEC Paris dedicated to the Top Management.

Born in 1975, Mr Zouhair El Kaissi is married and has two children.
