Bank of Africa United Kingdom promotes a culture of openness, accountability and integrity. We encourage staff to raise concerns about wrongdoing without fear of retaliation.

Scope
Applies to all employees, officers, consultants, contractors, interns, and agency workers.
Governance Structure
- Audit Committee: Overall responsibility
- Whistleblowing Champions: Oversight of independence and effectiveness
- Whistleblowing Officer: Daily operational responsibility
- HR & Compliance: Additional support channels
What Can Be Reported?
Includes suspected:
- Criminal activity
- Regulatory breaches
- Bribery or corruption
- Financial fraud
- Misconduct
- Environmental damage
- Health & safety risks
- Concealment of wrongdoing
Raising a Concern
Concerns may be raised with a Manager, the Whistleblowing Officer, the Whistleblowing Champions, or through external bodies (e.g., FCA, PRA, Protect charity).
Confidentiality
We respect confidentiality and allow anonymous reporting where needed.
Investigation
Concerns are assessed promptly, investigated where appropriate, and escalated to regulators when required.
Protection
Whistleblowers will not face detrimental treatment for raising genuine concerns.
